URSA hosts panels, workshops, and conferences that celebrate undergraduate research across disciplines. These events connect students with faculty, alumni, and industry leaders who share their research journeys and advice.
Explore both wet and dry labs across U of T and its affiliated hospitals and research centres: Sickkids, UHN, Princess Margaret, MaRS Discovery District, Temerty Faculty of Medicine and more! These guided tours let you meet researchers, see projects in action, and ask questions about techniques, career paths, and the day-to-day of lab work.
This year, we at URSA have aimed to introduce our community to a range of research fields outside life sciences. Our first step was establishing a new team: Seminars. By inviting graduate students and professors to give short talks about their fascinating research from a diverse range of fields including humanities and social sciences, seminars are a great way for students to learn something new and discover new interests. They also foster a productive environment for students to learn about research opportunities and network with professors!
URSA’s annual events bring together students, researchers, and professionals to explore opportunities in academia and industry. Each year, we host flagship seminars that highlight real experiences, practical advice, and diverse research journeys across disciplines. From learning how to break into undergraduate research to discovering career paths in biotechnology, these events are designed to inspire, guide, and support students at every stage. Attendees hear from keynote speakers, student founders, early-career researchers, and industry leaders while gaining insights on applications, networking, career planning, and navigating the wider research ecosystem.
Join us for the UofT Tri-Campus Undergraduate Research Conference, a one-day celebration of the ideas, discoveries, and creativity shaping the future of research at the University of Toronto. Students from all three campuses will share their work through oral and poster presentations, connect with peers, scholars, and industry professionals, and learn from our keynote speaker, Dr. Daniel J. Drucker, whose breakthroughs have transformed modern medicine. Whether you’re presenting, exploring research for the first time, or simply curious, this conference is your space to be inspired, network, and experience the breadth of undergraduate research at UofT.
